When calling a customer service department use the short number if you're calling from a mobile on that network, or the long number if you're calling from a mobile on another network or from a landline. For example, to speak to T-Mobile customer service you would dial 150 from a T-Mobile mobile phone, or 0845 412 5000 from any other phone.
